What is Necronium bar?

A necronium bar is a metal bar refined through the Smithing skill by smelting one necrite ore and one phasmatite together, either using a furnace or the Superheat Item spell. Smelting a necronium bar requires a Smithing level of 70, and grants 17 Smithing experience. Necronium bars can be smelted 25% and 50% faster beginning at Smithing levels 75 and 77, respectively. Additionally, starting at Smithing level 74, there is a chance of smelting an extra bar without consuming additional ores.
