The drop occurred all around Gielinor on 31 October 2001 , marking the 2001 Halloween event . During the Hallowe'en event of 2001, pumpkins were given out to players at Falador Park . As no holiday event had been done before, everyone was taken by surprise and not many players managed to obtain them.
